You've got to be kidding me...right?!

Here is the view out of my back door.

And here's the view from my front door.

Oh well at least I get to stay inside and sew or read or watch television...which is what I've been doing all morning...just enjoying the day, my day, National Quilting Day. I've got a charity quilt to bind for the guild that I belong to and I've got a few other things to do as well.
Here is the guild "charm" challenge quilt that I made along with Kara, my daughter. Linda Farrall, my wonderful longarm quilter friend, very graciously quilted it for free. Thank you Linda!

If I'm not mistaken, all of the challenge quilts will be donated to the church where we meet to use in their ministries. Awesome project!
No klosjes done this week, but I'll try to fit in a few this weekend. I think my total is 20 and it may take a couple of years to have enough for a quilt, but that's okay with me.
I hope the sun shines sometime soon and melts all of this snow. It's not supposed to stop snowing until tomorrow sometime, Spring will come soon, won't it?!?!?!

You got more snow that we did. It is blowing but only a couple or three inches. Dropped nearly 30 degrees in about an hour, last night! Yesterday, I was on the back patio in short sleeves at about 7:00. It was 69 degrees. Right now, there is a windchill in the teens. For those reading this, I am about an hour and fifteen minutes south of Ranette.

Happy Quilting Day and First Day of Spring! Here in Tulsa, it's snowing like crazy. I went to work at the Cotton Patch this morning amid rain and sleet. We all stayed one hour then closed the store and came home. By then the streets were covered with snow. WhoHooo!! I get to sew today.

Oh no! I think your weather may be headed our way--they're predicting dropping temperatures for us too. I thought we were all done with the white stuff.

Oh Yuck! I've seen enough of snow for now. We'll probably get another big dump before Easter, too.

But, on the bright side, you have your pretty Spring-y quilt all done. It looks wonderful!

Isn't it summertime with you folks, already? Doesn't look like summer to me! :-)And yes: klosjes are a long term-project: like most quilts. It's all about enjoying yourself. And it looks like you do!

I've only done 21 Ranette. I am only aiming for 5 a week because I still want to work on my other projects. I figure two years and I'll have enough for a decent sized throw.

Your challenge quilt looks fantastic and sorry to hear that Winter has come back.

Hi Ranette,
Don't know if I dare say it but I think spring has sprung here in England. It has been a long, cold grey winter. At least with snow you get to stay indoors and quilt.

You know Ranette
It is hard to imagine waking up to that much snow. We are just grateful to hearing a little music of rain. It looks beautiful but I do know you are so waiting for a little sunshine in your life and here is me wishing the sun over to you and a little coolness in mine :-)
Have a good weekend
Cheers
Lynne
Off Chocolate shopping for easter today :-)

the snow must have taken a direct route from here to there - our temperatures dropped from 69 on thursday to somewhere in the 20's for a high yesterday ... today is still a little chilly - but the sun is shining and the roads and walks are clear (although my view looks about the same as yours)

the charity quilt that you and Kara made is sweet!

So much for the end of Winter huh? Well that is Oklahoma for you..like you said it will more than likely be warm next week. It still is pretty to look at (in pictures). Your charity quilt is very pretty.

Snow!!!

From here in Australia the view out your front door looks magical!

I love the Spring colours in the quilt you and Kara made. Linda did a wonderful job of quilting it.

I hope you are keeping warm inside with lots of quilting!

I don't think I could handle it, Ranette...the snow, i.e. But you've got the right attitude and you know it won't last long...hopefully.

Stay warm and keep busy...and don't look out the window too often.

Gorgeous challenge quilt!
