I know I've said it before, but where oh where does the time go??? My days just rush by and I never seem to get enough accomplished. I'm pretty sure we all feel this way...right?
I have made some "quilty" progress in the last week though, so that is good. Here is the quilt that I just finished quilting. I made the top last winter and I think I showed it then, but I put off quilting it. Well I finally bit the bullet so to speak and just did it.
Yeah...another finish for me! I ordered this as a kit from Country Living and I just love everything about it.
Spring is really, really in the air here in Stillwater, Oklahoma and you would think that it would smell good, but it doesn't....lol...Bradford Pear trees smell rotten when they are blooming and the neighbor to the North of us has a row of them. They are pretty to look at....try to ignore the junky backyard if you can...lol Actually you can see my Weeping Cherry tree better than the pear trees in this picture. Oh well. Here's a closeup of the pretty little flowers from the cherry tree.
I also redid my farm table that is my sewing table, again ignore the junk. It went from this to this and actually I didn't redo it...Jay did! Thank you honey!!! The laminated fabric really makes me happy and now I won't get splinters.
Oh and I redid the kitchen table just in time for Easter as well.
On the Klosjes front, I only made 5 last week and I probably won't get that many done this week. I need to get out more Civil War fabric to prep and I will very soon because I enjoy making the little spools.
Oh and Allie says thank you very much for all of the kind and sweet things you all said about her quilt....Have a great evening! ranette

I love the quilt!! where did you say you got the pattern from? Is the pattern on the table a pickle dish quilt? lovely!! I hate the Bradford trees also although I never noticed a smell, but my allergies go crazy at this time of year with all the things blooming.

Hi Ranette,
Well done on finishing your quilt and I love the quilt on your table.
The table looks good. I have just revamped a little set of drawers. Lick of paint and new door knobs and hey presto! Life's simple pleasures. Well done again.
Love Shirley.
You made a delightful quilt, I love the colours but I can't take my eyes off the DWR on the table, can you tell me about it? I think I need a laminated tablecloth so DH doesn't get the fabric ones dirty, love yours.
I love the quilt you finished! It's splashy and graphic but soft and sweet at the same time. Very sweet!!
Love the quilt! Congratulations on getting it finished! :0)
I am now coveting another quilt. I have got to quit doing that!!! Love it you did a great job as always.
Jay also did a wonderful job on your sewing table. I need him to come here and do a few things for me. Also your Easter set up looks fab!!!

I walked by my bradford pear tree today and boy does it stink!! Pretty to look at, but rotten to smell....your new layout is very pretty.
Love your red quilt and double wedding ring! The quilting looks fantastic. Your sewing table looks great - love the fabric you used.
Your Easter table looks so inviting . . . the quilt is beautiful.
Regards, Sue
Love the finished quilt. Yours always make mine look so simple!
As for Bradford Pear Trees...my grandson, Gabe said they smell like Rhino poo. Calista asked him how he knew. He said, "I've been to the zoo!"
Happy Easter, Ranette! He is risen!

Oh, that quilt is lovely. I really like the black and white checks. Really makes it. Spring has sprung in your neck of the woods.
Neat idea for your table.
Love your quilt from the kit...it's beautiful.
I have a ton of those Bradford Pear trees. They are so pretty to look at, but I can't even open my windows when they bloom. The smell is just horrible!
YOur quilt is stunning! Love the pattern and the colors you used in it. Your table project turned out cute too!
