Set in seams....no problem!

I've figured out how to do "set in seams" on my sewing machine without too much hassle. I guess after all of those little Le Moyne stars in my AQ, that I did on my machine, it has finally stuck with me. This NI block has several of the above mentioned seams. I keep telling myself just do one block a day and you'll start to see the end very soon. Remember a few posts back and I thought I only had 16 or so blocks left....welllll I miss counted. I ran off papers last weekend and I had 25 blocks left to do. Talk about disappointed! Plus I have to sash them and pp the border. One thing at a time Ranette....one thing at a time!

I am feeling better now that I have an appointment with a specialist. That always happens to me. I feel like I'm dying and I break down, make a doctors appointment and then I feel better. Does that mean it's all in my head?! For the people that know me in real life, don't answer that...lol

I'm almost ready for my sewing marathon around here. The house is pretty clean, laundry done, project picked out (yes I decided to follow every one's advice) and food bought. Yeah....I am beyond excited! I wish you could all join me and my friends.

Okay....that's it for now! Happy hump day!

an emphatic NO! it is NOT in your head ... that ALWAYS happens to me - i give my body fair warning (like punishing my kidneys with just water and no coffee for three months after the slurpee incident - all my other parts were REALLY put out with Sidney and Widney Kidney cuz they all looove their caffeine) - and after following through with threats, she ALWAYS cleans up her act

This block looks really good in the reds & whites. Makes me think of Valentine's Day.

Just take one step at a time with your NI quilt and you'll be done before you know it....at least that is what I tell keep telling myself with my Dear Jane quilt. After all, you did complete your Dear Jane! Your NI quilt is going to be spectacular...I can't wait to see it all together.

Your block came out great!

If you are ever in Southern California I am going to snatch you away to help me with those dreaded Y seams. LOL

Hi Ranette

Love your Red and white version of NI - I can understand it's a big project and you're keen to get to the end! Hope there's nothing wrong healthwise. Same thing happens to me - especially with the dentist!

It always happens to me too. I have been having heart "flutters", my heart is actually skipping beats. 2 months ago they hooked me to a monitor for 48 hours and it stopped. Now it's back in full force so I'm wearing a monitor again for the next 48.
By the way, the results on the red and white will surely be worth it. The blocks are beautiful!

You'll get there, faster than me who is doing nothing at the moment. Enjoy the journey, the block looks lovely. Feel better quick, I wish all my jobs were done.
