Another NI block...but don't look too close!

Yes I know....I lost a point on my star. I didn't see it until I was done and I'm leaving it just like it is.

When it's all sewn in the quilt, you will never, ever see that a point is missing, unless I point it out to you, which I have been known to do...lol

Thanks for all of the kind words and good wishes on my previous post. I'm still not feeling great, but I have an appointment with a specialist on Monday and I'll probably feel great by then. I have 4 no work and all sew days scheduled and I'm going to sew like the wind! My dilemma is whether I should work on my current long term projects or start a new, finish in a couple of days quilt. I think I'm leaning towards making something new.

I received this quilty inspiration in the mail a few days ago.

I love, love, love this magazine! I always find inspiration in the quilts and photos. I just wish I had more time for making all of the quilts they show. I haven't been loving the American quilting magazines lately....I think it's because it all looks the same to me and it seems to be about selling the newest line of fabrics. Just my opinion.

I'm going to go and put my longjohns on now. It's been cold and the weatherman tells us that it's going to get colder, like single digit temps....yuck!

LOL! Your post made me laugh. I'll bet I have many, many points gone.

Seriously, if it bothers you, I will take it. :)

Love the fabrics!

Boy, do I ever agree. Both about the point (who will ever see that) and about the American magazines! They are dumbing us down I think, and it is all about the fabric. I used to mark lots of quilts to make and I don't any more. I'm starting to love the Australian mags, and the Quilt Mania.

I loose points in stars all the time - I have gotten over it and no longer worry about it. Once the quilt is made and used no one will notice unless they are going through block by block trying to find mistakes!

You take care of yourself. Hopefully having 4 days just to quilt, will promote good health. Stop pointing out the flaws, nobody but the quilt police care, and I don't think they are real, just figments of our imagination.
Keep warm, Brandie

I agree. The magazines are boring and the same old stuff. I picked up one of those Mania magazines last summer and liked it, too. I think you should start something new. That's the best part about quilting (and the reason why I have so many OLD projects waiting to be finished!) See you soon!

I love your new NI block....I wouldn't have even noticed that point if you didn't point it out! Lol!
I hope you are feeling much better soon.
I vote for a new project. Something new always gets my enthusiasm to create going.
I have seen that Quiltmania magazine on a couple of blogs........I'm going to look for it here.

Keep warm and happy sewing! :)

Hi Ranette
Just love your block :-)
Think of us here as it is going to be a week of hot hot temperatures! 104+ Although being cold and sick is definately not nice either.
Sure wish the weather would settle down to some sort of normal
Take Care and happy stitching
Cheers

I could live with the star point too, I had to look for it so it doesn't stick out too much. What's the saying? good from far and far from good. Just kidding. It's another one that bites the dust. Saw all the snow in America on telly tonight, you have my sympathy.

I picked up this magazine too. I just love that cover quilt but there are a couple inside that I would also like to make. Thanks for visiting my blog.
