Fun little quilt to make and I really hope to quilt it myself. I may hand quilt it in the plain squares and machine quilt the rest of it, we'll see.
Very good weekend, just too darn short. Since I work in retail I don't get a 3 day weekend like many of you. I've also spent a little time in the evenings working on these little darlings.
These yoyo's are so addictive....aren't they Sharon...hehehe. The yoyo's are for Anne Sutton's quilt pattern Yoyoville
My my I think Anne's site has a new look....I'll have to go back and check it out very soon.
I also worked just a little bit on my Antique Quilt and I have plans to get back to some of the other long term projects as well. And just for kicks here's a link to a video of the above mentioned song

I love that center block! It really adds something wonderful to the quilt.
I love Anne Suttons quilts. I am ready tomorrow to start putting together the four patches and the circles but I am not going to do the applique border but make a pieced border instead.

I absolutely love the Jo Morton quilt!! Great job! The applique in the center makes it a bit different then other pieced quilts.
Fun yo-yo's too!
Back to work for me too.
That center block just POPS right out at me - it's beautiful.
Goodness sakes, you got alot done.
I love the Peppermint quilt!
You know, I have never thought that you could combine hand & machine quilting. I need to learn how to hand quilt and try this. I have 2 tops that I think would be perfect for that technique.
Nice job! The applique centre in really beautifull.
..and you mentioned a 3day weekend? I only know a 2 day weekend!Much too short!
I love your Peppermint Twist. Actually, I love all Jo Morton's patterns. This one is definitely on my list.

Love your Peppermint Twist quilt, Ranette. I was a young teenager when the sone came out and I remember it well. It brings back memories of sock hops in the school gym.
The Peppermint Twist is lovely. How big is it?
Gorgeous quilt top! I love the center. Have fun making those yo-yos. :)
