Audition time!

Okay now what does everyone think? I think I might like it....adds interest....perfect color of white/off white & red....a little insane and different from others I've seen.

I like the sashing option you've shown. I know white seems like the obvious "safe" choice but that's kinda boring to me and I think it would actually wash out the blocks as there are white bits in some blocks that would end up totally blending in with the sashing so they wouldn't look like blocks! I'm not sure any other color would work either as that would compete with the blocks. The only other solid shade I could think that *might* look okay is a tea stain type fabric which would make it look vintage (if that's the right word?) Having said that, I think the red striped fabric you've found work the best as it's not a solid red or overwhelming pattern so it doesn't compete with your blocks, rather, it complements them. Go for it! Can't wait to see it done!

Hope I made a morsel of sense!

I love it!! I can never tell what it will look like until I see it laid out like you did. I think the color choices are great.

It looks great to me and more importantly to you. Now I'm thinking ahead for mine, lol. I'm a sucker for stripes or spots.

It works very, very well Ranette!! The stripes aren't overpowering the other fabrics used in the blocks.
