Movies

I forgot to mention a couple of movies we watched this weekend in my last post, so I'll do a quick review of them now. I would post on quilting, but I'm still working on those blasted strip sets and nine patches...lol

Okay the first movie we watched or tried to watch was Swing Vote with Kevin Costner. I'm not even going to link it because this is one of the worst movies I've ever in my entire life seen. Now I know that KC has never been a terrific actor, but for the most part I've enjoyed watching his movies, not so with this one. Enough said about the bad, now on to the good.

We watched Vicky Cristina Barcelona before the Oscar's and it was wonderful. It was a very enjoyable movie and I usually don't love Woody Allen flicks. It isn't a movie for young children although I think they kept it cleaner than they could have. Penelope Cruz deserved her Oscar for this role, she was amazing. And Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem are both beautiful to look at. The scenery was lovely and made me wish I could hop on a plane to Barcelona. If you get a chance and you like free spirited comedic movies then you'll like this one.

I do have some other "quilty" news. Marja and I are going to work on our Postcard Cuties for Winter

together as a bom. We'll start March 1st with hopes of having this completely done (quilted and everything) by Christmas season 2010. I'm making my quilt in the fabrics pictured, can't remember what they're called right now and Marja is making hers in It's Snowing. It will be fun to work on this together and hopefully stay motivated!

I'm off to work now. Have a great day!
