Quilt Show

No pictures from the quilt show...well that's not entirely true. Here are my purchases

Oh and a note/mouse pad. Not sure why the picture is flipped. I had fun with Sharon and Paulette, but the quilt show was disappointing. It's been at least two years since I've been able to go to this particular show and I think I won't be going back for several more. I used to find all sorts of new fabric and kits...but it was like I'd seen it all before or it was embroidery, which I'm not into. Oh well I didn't need to spend any $$$'s anyway!

I have done a little more on my 30 stars quilt that I started on the other day. My plan is to really work on this tomorrow and Saturday. Here it is with a couple more borders on it

Ahhhh!!! Does anyone know why my pictures keep flipping over??? I'm too tired tonight to try and fix it and so I'd better go off to bed.

You did well to not spend much at the quilt show. Last year was really a good year to go. There were lots of vendors there and lots of fabric etc. It was the first time I had gone in 3 years. Maybe that's what we need to do, is skip years in between. Congratulations on finishing your Dear Jane. That is an accomplishment. Like your star quilt you are working on.

Well, I sure am sorry the show wasn't a showstopper. Maybe the last time with the weather caused venders to cancel this year. Dunno why they would but isn't it odd that some years there are good shows and other years they aren't so good. Perry may be right - skipping years may be a good practice but I am not sure I'd have the discipline at this point. Enjoy your quilting. I hope the embroiders enjoyed it. I've never been attracted to that - seems expensive and lots of thread going out there is a bit intimidating. Give me a nice, safe, piece of fabric with a single stitch so my poor nerves can take it.

I like that bag!

I had the same annoying flipping thing. If you "flip" your camera to take a pic, the display of the camera shows the pic correctly and upright. if you download it onto your pc, you have to put it upright again yourself. Blogger however, still sees that pic flipped over and puts it like that on your blog. (don't know how to explain it in better english). If you hold your camera always upright, it appears upright on your blog.
