Okay, now I can show you what I made for my sister.

I made this cute wall hanging using fabric from the Verna collection by Moda. Not only is that fabric a favorite for both my sister and I, but our grandma's name was Verna, so I thought that would make it special and the pretty button was from our other grandma's button box. Her name was Alyne. They've been gone now for quite a while, but Pam and I have fond memories of both of them.

I also made this bag/tote which was so much fun.

So you see I have been doing a little something around here.
Yesterday I treated myself to a new, easy hairdo...what do you think? Really you don't have to answer that....lol

There was a time in my life when I hated how I looked, but you know what...I really don't anymore. Maybe it's turning 50 or that I've realized how short life is. I've earned all the lines (hopefully they are laugh lines) and bags under my eyes.
It's time to go cook some dinner...Enjoy the weekend! ranette

Ranette you look lovely and yes they are laugh lines. Yes life is very short and worring about how we look is not one of the things that should take up our time. Like I have told you before I love EVERYTHING!!! Thank you so much again. Love you!!

I least I guessed you made a bag. LOL What a great wallhanging, I'll bet he will treasure it forever. The bag is fun too.

I hate taking pictures too! I should just suck it up, I am not getting any younger. LOL!

I was just showing my friend your Pie & Tarts quilt today. I think I am going to attempt it once I am done with Life Is Beautiful. I may be burned out on circles by then.

You look pretty good to me Ranette. I hated the thought of turning 50 and had a hard time celebrating it but somehow turning 51 made it all ok. It was like getting over a really big hurdle.
Love your sister's present.

Aunt Ranette I love your new hair! It looks fun and easy to manage, and stylish all at the same time. Mom's presents are really beautiful, you should have seen how excited she was when she opened them. Thanks so much for the pincushion you sent for me, I'll definately put it to good use.
Love you!
