I don't find your new layout distracting at all.
I LOVE the new background. And I love the quilt. I've been wanting to make that one, too. And those ARE my colors. I love the bright, funky prints. I must be part "hippy" LOL. Hope you're having a good week.

The background to your blog is fine. I didn't actually notice it until you commented on it! I think the dark shadow around the text area helps a lot and then the white background for the text itself.
The quilt turned out lovely. Now I have to finish mine. I am working on it as fast as I can. Thanks for teaching me and helping me so I could even make this quilt.

I have quilt-envy! I love this quilt, and luckily its 2nd to next on my to do list. Looks like all 4 of us will have the same quilt. Great minds think alike, right? I like the new background-- its red and white, and you just can't go wrong with red and white.

I like the background but on my computer the place where the photos and writing is about 3 inches wide which makes it a little hard to read. It might be wider on your computer.
