or "QADD" as I call it. I find myself thinking of other quilts or projects before I'm even finished with what I'm working on and it's distracting. I also have at least 6 or 7 quilts that I would say that I'm currently working on (which does not include everything, btw). Oh my, that really is too many! Does anyone know of a way to get rid of QADD? If you do, please help me...lol
I have been working bit by bit on my JanieBright blocks...keeping them in the sewing area right off of the kitchen helps A LOT!
I now have 5 rows together and I'm getting ready to pick fabric for the next two rows of blocks. I am behind on triangles, but I may devote 1 month of sewing later in the year to making those.
The weather is HOT and HUMID so I think I'm due some pool time this afternoon, but as soon as I get in the pool I'll start thinking about all of my fabric and quilts and I'll want to come in ....lol
Have a great weekend!

LOL. I think there are a lot of us afflicted with QADD. Your Jane blocks are so lovely. Excellent workmanship. Keep sewing.
oh thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! i've been needing a JanieBright fix!!!
i think that Auntia has the same disorder - i have lottsa flimsies waiting to be quilted, but only four or five (okay, maybe six or seven) quilts i'm working on ... Auntia, on the other hand, has a gazillion - and she just started another pinwheel charm top (that has about a quadrillion little pieces) all cut and ready to sew ... sheesh
Oh, I definitely have that syndrome too!
I have the same disease. I don't know of a cure. Plus, every time I'm in a fabric store, I buy more thinking I could start something else. I must stop...must stop...must stop....
definitely got QADD..........and working on way to many different projects.......
I too have that disorder but the best solution is not to fight it and just go with it. Going cold turkey is not much fun. Enjoy the pool.

ah yes I am sure I have QADD too so I am in good company!
making the blocks are more fun than the triangles in mho, my 77 blocks still sit in a box someday it will get finished, maybe!

High temperatures cured me immediately and now it's te opposite: I Do Not Sew A Thing. I'm in survivalmode and although temps dropped, it's still sticky, humid and just no weather to sew or quilt.
I really like your bright Jane..só much better than the original one!!
Great to hear from you and see those purty blocks! They bring a smile to my face.
I am in the same boat on multiple quilts in progress. It is ridiculous. And I keep buying more fabric. I am out of control.
Wow! The brighty's are fantastic!!A perfect summer project.
I'm determined to not start any new quilts (I've given myself permission to start 1 this fall) but for the rest of the year it is focus, focus, focus!!
Your DJ looks fantastic! Very precise and love the colors!
I think every quilter has QADD. Even me and I am still what one would consider a newbie. Love your blocks. I can't wait to see them all put together. Have fun in the pool and try not to think of all the projects you have inside.
Miss you!!!
Youre DJ blocks are beautifull and you've made so much of them. I'm also busy with many projects and desided that I must make several before I can start a new one.
Succes with the heat.
I only have a few things going. I have plenty of projects waiting to start, but being so new to quilting I start reading a pattern and get intimidated and put it to the back burner for later.
I have QADD too! hah! I think its contagious and you catch it through blogging!! lol lol
I have too many quilts on the go and another list swirling in my head waiting to be started.
Love your JanieBright blocks!!! Goodness, you have a lot made already!
That QADD is like a virus that afflicts many quilters. In any case, your blocks are beautiful and I love your blog makeover.
Ooo, love the colors on your DJ blocks. I did my first in the Civil War repros and the 2nd (not a complete DJ but with a medallion) is in red, white & blue! On the QADD front, I've found that a list of 5 works well.
We are just doomed with QADD. There is no cure, but if you have it and can still produce beautiful blocks like your Jane ones, the disease can't be all bad. I put mine back up on the design wall in hopes that I would get motivated to start on them again, but when you have two other major applique quilts in the works, something always give, but your blocks give me home. I love yours!
