calling this blog....Ranette's Less Than Once a Week Stitch....seriously!!! I'm not sure why, but it's been hard for me to blog lately. For one thing I'm still just working on the same projects and not much progress has even been made on those. Also I seem to have very limited computer time...I haven't even been looking at many blogs in the last couple of weeks, sorry and I miss you guys. I've been really busy at work meeting with sales reps to get ready for Football Season 2010, I know hard to believe, right?! But it will be here before we know it. February is OVER folks...time flies these days. Also I've started sleeping later, not sure why, but that cuts into my blogging time as well.
Anyway here is an update on JanieBright....as usual not a great picture because it was very dull light this morning when I took it.
Progress is being made, slowly but surely. The once a month DJ group met at the local quilt shop on Thursday night and that was fun.
Also I thought I'd show you a picture of the quilt that started my little block craze...this was probably a year before I made my first DJ quilt and these blocks are 4.5" finished as well.
It's a Lori Smith pattern I believe and it was great fun to make. It hangs in the dining room of my house.
I'm going to take some time today and get my sewing room organized. I have a huge fabric pile on my cutting table and it's just a mess. Every time I come in here I have a moment or two that I almost panic, so I think it's time to clean, don't you?!
Also I think it's time for a little give away and I'll write about that and post a picture tomorrow, so stay tuned!
Have a great Saturday....it looks like the sun may shine here today, wouldn't that be something....lol

I don't know how you girls do those little Lori Smith projects. I'd give up halfway thru. It looks great and it looks like you have a nice spot for it!
Also, LOVE those little jewel tone blocks you're making.
Can't wait to see the giveaway!
Peggy
I'm really impressed at how many of hte brights you've done. They are just what we need in this late winter. Keep 'em coming!
Love all those bright blocks and your little quilts is fun too.
My sewing room is a mess right now too because I have been working on a string quilt. I am going to try to get the blocks put together today. Have a great weekend.
Ranette, you just blog when you are inspired to do so. Nothing more, nothing less, and that will be good enough for your followers. When you do put it out there, it is wonderful! Keep on working on your hte brights, enjoy life, sleep late, try to enjoy work :), and we'll see you when we see you!! Love your Lori Smith sampler quilt, and the fact that you seem to like to work, small like me. (4.5" finished blocks) How pretty this would be made from 12" blocks. Enjoy your weekend. ~karen
I have 2 Lori Smith quilts ready to start but I need to wait till my UFO pile is smaller.
Your bright Jane is coming along! You are about as far as I am. Mine is on hold till my 2 Insane's are done.
I think we all go through spells of not having much to blog about, the last two weeks has been like that for me, I have mainly been working on one project only and the weather is getting to me, ready for spring.

we've had LOTTSA sun the past two days - but tomorrow is supposed to be dark and gloomy, so i'm gonna come back to the JanieBrights picture (you know how much i LOVE those blocks? enough to start collecting more brights and buying whites just cuz someday i might be able to acquire the skills to make them ... it could happen) and bask in their sparkle!
The brights are coming along very nicely and I LOVE the quilt!
Enjoy your day.

Daily, weekly, monthly. Whatever. I enjoy reading your blog whenever you post. I think it would be hard for anyone to post daily. And the DJ blocks are always a treat to see.
Love your DJ blocks. They look fantastic all lined up together.
