Here I am :o)

I didn't realize it had been so long since I had posted...this is supposed to be a "daily" thing for me. I just haven't been very inspired for a little while though. I think when I finish a big project, like the NI quilt, I'm left at a loss for a little while and I have trouble focusing my attention. I could focus on housework...I really need to....lol, but instead I think I've decided to focus on these little jewels.

These little blocks really are like candy and they seem quite tame to me after the red and white blocks.
I've also been working on these blocks....

Also like candy, just not quite as sweet.
And a lot of prep and a little stitching has been done on these blocks...

Oh and we've been watching the Olympics every evening....Go team USA!!! WooHoo!!

I did see a pretty quilt at Sooner Quilts in Guthrie yesterday, made by Michelle out of the Martinique fabric by Moda....Gorgeous fabric!!

So there you have it....not much going on here but a little of this and a little of that!

I am the same way when I get finished with a big one I either have something else that has been waiting for me to jump in at it or I take a little bit of a break.

I don't often work with the bright colors as I am a prim style/dark color gal. But I am loving those bright blocks you are making!

Looks as though you've been pretty motivated to me!! The blocka are so colorful - bright and cheery. Sitting with the tv is a great way to finish up all the handwork. Keep up the good work.

I think you've got some good bits going at the moment. Is that DJ? Don't laugh but I buckled and bought the book today and no, I don't have intentions at this stage. I always enjoy seeing your sewing progress.

Wow I love the super bright blocks and then of course the snowman ones! I still haven't got back the will to quilt and am stuck in knitting mode. Hopefully one day I manage to find a balance with ALL my hobbies rather than getting so all consumed with one thing at a time!

Love your little jewels, such jolly little blocks. And the Japanese blocks are so calm and peaceful - it must be nice to switch between the two according to what mood you're in. x

WOW!! LOVE the brights!!
I have the same thing after finishing something that I worked on quite a while. It's like an empty feeling inside, fingers drumming, difficulty deciding what will be next....but nevertheless: you have been very busy and now the house is clean enough for wééks of piecing!!
