During the day the visibility was just nil. There were times when you couldn't see the houses in the neighborhood very well. If you travel just north of Stillwater there is hardly any snow...this was a picky blizzard, skipping around where it wanted to dump snow. The roads in Stillwater are terrible still, but the highways and interstates are clear.
I cooked a lot and we all ate a lot. The kids kept busy building gingerbread houses.
Uh oh, since you couldn't see Kara and Jacob in the other picture here is one of them.
Here's a picture of my house and I can't remember if Jay took this Christmas day or the day after that. Somehow the days have all run together for me...anyone else have that problem?!
When I wasn't cooking or cleaning or watching good movies, I was making a few Nearly Insane blocks. I'll show those in tomorrows post as I have to get ready for work now. It's that time of year when inventory needs to be taken and that's a pretty big job. Luckily I'll have some great help to do it.
Have a terrific Monday!

love your snow pictures. We only had a 1/2 inch! I also like your ginger bread houses, so cute! My daughter in WI said that the kids made gingerbread houses but she is having computer problems so I have not see the photos. The days do run together for me also -

Wow! The gingwerbread houses are amazing! What a great project while blizzarding outside.
During the holidays the days do seem to run together. I have to stop and think what day it is, LOL! Glad you had a white Christmas...we had one in NJ, too; however, all the snow is gone now.
Now that is what I call snow, and those gingerbred houses are beautiful.

One could never actually EAT those gorgeous houses, now could they??
I'm happy the last snow melted today over here and I can walk and drive properly again without slip-sliding!! Take care when you go out, you've had your share of broken bones!
I loved seeing the gingergbread mansions. You had a very white Christmas, we had a very wet one.
You did get a lot of snow.
Great houses the kids made. A fun way to spend the day.
Happy New Year!
Wow!!! Look at all that snow!!! Very pretty!
I love those gingerbread houses.
Oh my goodness! I love the thought of being snowed in - but I guess it can also be a bit of a pain. But looks like you had great company.
Wow! Those are very elaborate gingerbread houses. I was wondering how you were getting along in the snow. We got dumped on, too. I'll post some pics soon. Be safe out there. I'm glad you were all together.
Oh my gosh, this is why I just love South Texas in the winter. Hey! Margaritas on my back porch this weekend. Everyone is welcome. Stay warm and safe, see you in the New Year.
Cheers,

Merry Christmas, Ranette! Your house is lovely, kids are gorgeous and I just love your house. Wasn't that an amazing blizzard??? Nice to have a white Christmas when you are safe and warm. We got about 7 - 8 inches, here, but they say the airport got more than fourteen and it is three miles away.
Looking forward to a happy new year!
